The coral ecosystem worldwide has been facing various challenges in the recent years. Coral scientists have been exploring ways to safeguard this precious ecosystem and coral restoration is one of the emerging strategies to assist recovery of the degraded communities. What ecological factors do researchers take into account when practicing coral restoration? And how could we help protecting the corals as individuals? We are honored to invite Dr. Apple Chui of the Chinese University of Hong Kong to share with us examples of coral restoration researches both overseas and in Hong Kong.
